This course is designed to teach students how to become professional Nail Technicians. Students will obtain all the knowledge and hands on experience needed to for this Novice Nail certificate course.

•             Acrylic, Gel Nails, Polygel and Nail Dipping system, Nail Enhancements

•             Hygiene and sanitation 

•             Nail diseases and disorders

•             Infection Control: Principles and Practices

•             General Anatomy

•             Nail Structure and Growth

•             Massage

•             Aromatherapy

•             Paraffin Wax Treatments

•             Gel Polish           

The course will cover the theory and the practical requirements to complete this Novice Nail Technology course. Theory work will be completed in class utilising the Nail Technology Text Book. Practical work will be hands with models in class.

Entry Advice: There are no pre-requisites for entry to this course and there are no entry requirements to this certificate.

Qualification Title: Certificate of Attainment for Spa Manicure & Spa Pedicure, this training course is  non-accredited but is equivalent with the highest standard of training to the (Statement of attainment in SIB20210 Certificate II in Nail Technology – SIBBNLAS201A Work in a Nail Services Framework – SIBBNLAS202A Provide Manicure and Pedicure Services)

All other notes and materials for the course will be provided by the school.

Students Practical Work:  Practical will be completed throughout the duration of the course.

Students must be willing to receive treatments as well as practice unless a Doctors Certificate is provided.

Home Study:  Read Student Notes and Nail Technology Text Book

Students Exams:  Theory: Written Assessment, full exam covering, all hygiene and sanitation, nail diseases and disorders, anatomy, acrylic and gel nail enhancements, manicure and pedicures.

Practical: Hands on assessment, Performing a full set of nail enhancements.
